The Best Samsung Monitor 2010?

Q. Ok im going to be buying a monitor in the next few days i have narrowed it down to 3 and im definitely going with a Samsung. Im tore between the:

SM2233RZ - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/pc-peripherals/monitors/gaming/LS22CMFKFV/EN/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&returnurl=

T220HD - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/pc-peripherals/monitors/digital-tv-monitor/LS22TDDSUV/EN/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&returnurl=

and

P2270 - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/pc-peripherals/monitors/design/LS22EFHKFU/EN/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&returnurl=

All seem like good monitors, could you please explain reasons for your recommendation and also if possible explain which monitor will display brighter, colorful, vivid etc images. im not too clued up on lcd monitor jargon) Many thanks in advance
Is the 2233hd the same as the sm2233rz ie has 120hz with the addition of a tv tuner in the 2233hd?

A. SM2233RZ - is the better one since it's got a 120Hz refresh rate compared to 60Hz of the other 2. Although it's not a true 120Hz it's actually 2x60Hz (splits the image in two) so who knows if you'll notice anything! Other than that they are all good monitors, you can't go wrong with any one of them, I have a 2333HD monitor and I can't be happier with it.

Are there large LCD monitors that would automatically display a PowerPoint presentation?
Q. I need to display a PowerPoint presentation automatically in a very large LCD with the file saved in some kind of memory disc/stick, meaning no computer involved.

A. As far as I know, no LCD monitor supports PowerPoint presentation directly. However, you may have other solutions: converting PowerPoint presentation to video or DVD
Here are 3 methods to convert presntation to video or burn presentation to DVD:

Method A (Free):
1. Save your PowerPoint slides as images like jpg or png in Mirosoft PowerPoint
2. Import these pictures into Windows Movie Maker and make a video.
3. Make a DVD from the output video using Windows DVD Maker (only available for Windows 7 or Vista)

Method B (Free):
1. If you are using PowerPoint 2010, create a wmv video in PowerPoint.
2. Make a DVD from the output video using Windows DVD Maker (only available for Windows 7 or Vista)

Method C (Easy):
Burn a PowerPoint presentation onto DVD or convert a presentation to video directly with a converter like
Leawo PowerPoint to DVD
http://www.leawo.com/powerpoint-to-dvd/
Moyea PPT to DVD Burner Pro
http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt_to_dvd/

Notice: All your PowerPoint original elements like animations, transitions, video clips and sounds will be removed when you save your powerpoint slides as images using Method A. If you want to preserved all the elements mentioned above, it is recommended to use Method B or C.

After conversion, you can directly play the output video presentation or DVD presentation.

How do I transfer video from the hard drive to the SD card on a JVC Everio GZ-MG630RU camcorder?

Q. I have a 2010 JVC Everio GZ-MG630RU camcorder. i recently bought a laptop with Win-7. i found out that Win-7 does not recognize my camcorder . My question is: how do i go about transferring the videos on my camcorders Hard Drive to the cameras mini SD card ?

Thanx

A. Excerpt from Amazon.com. Read your manual and your question makes no sense. Why do you want to copy from HDD to SD when the camera doesn't seem to have an mini SD card?

Everio Features

All 2009 Everios make sharing and watching videos easier than ever. New for this year is the One Touch Export function that allows Everio videos to be imported into iTunes and loaded into an iPod or iPhone. All 2009 Everios also offer One Touch DVD burning and the One Touch Upload function that JVC introduced to users in 2008 as a new and convenient way to upload videos to YouTube.

To use any of the three functions, simply connect Everio to a PC using the supplied USB cable. Then, the user chooses one of three buttons on the Everio: UPLOAD, EXPORT, or DIRECT DVD. Pressing the button will launch the appropriate Windows PC application that comes bundled with Everio, and the user simply follows the simple on-screen prompts. With just a few mouse clicks the process of uploading to YouTube, exporting to iTunes, burning to disc or transferring to an external hard disk drive will be completed. For uploading to YouTube, the user can perform an in-camera edit of any length video to fit the 10-minute YouTube limit.

For disc based archiving, there is an alternative to using a PC. JVC offers the CU-VD50 Direct DVD Burner/Player as an option, which allows burning of Everio videos to a DVD disc without having to use a PC.

The new Everio MediaBrowser software supplied with all Everio models is a Windows application providing an easy-to-search calendar-type graphical interface for indexing and finding video files. Thumbnail images of recorded videos and stills are superimposed on the calendar so it’s easy to see when any scene was recorded. The Everio MediaBrowser also allows easy playback, simple cut editing, and "Decomotion" to spruce up recorded footage with animated graphics for upload to YouTube. It also supports Export to iTunes, Upload to YouTube, burning to disc or transferring to HDD.

Another new feature found on all Everio camcorders is Digest Playback, which offers an easy and entertaining way to check the content residing on Everio’s HDD or SD/SDHC card. The function automatically selects highlight scenes from among the recorded content using JVC’s proprietary algorithm and plays back what looks like a "coming attractions" trailer for a movie. Sixty minutes of footage is condensed into five minutes of highlight scenes.

Other Everio features have been enhanced for 2009. Laser Touch Operation has been updated to allow control of zooming and recording using either the Laser Touch scroll bar or buttons next to the LCD screen, as well as by the standard zoom lever and REC button. And as before, Laser Touch makes it easy to browse through thumbnail images of recorded scenes and access menu selection. Power-linked operation, long offered by JVC, goes a step further this year. Simply opening the LCD monitor automatically opens the built-in lens cover and powers up the camcorder. Closing the LCD also closes the lens cover and shuts down the power. With Quick Restart, recording can start in about one second after the LCD is re-opened.

In addition to performance and convenience, the 2009 Everio line offers plenty of style and shooting comfort. A new design features elegant curves, a silver-framed LCD and a comfortable angled grip with a new dual use strap. The strap can be used in the usual camcorder fashion, supporting the user’s hand when shooting, or it can be extended and used as a wrist strap like the type on most digital still cameras.

Is this a good desktop computer and a good price for it?
Q. It was bought in 2010

Hp pavillion elite hpe-112y
Windows 7
Quad core processor
8gb ram
1tb hard drive
Blu-ray drive (drive #1)
Dvd-rw dual layer burner (drive #2)
15-in-1 memory card reader
20" lcd monitor
all-in-one printer/scanner/copier
18 months remaining on premium replacement plan

The seller bought it for over $1300. The seller is asking $750 for it. Fully restored to factory defaults.

A. What do you plan to do? Do you plan to do school work, go to youtube.com, play a few movies, or play some simple card games? If so then buy something brand new that's cheaper and has a warranty or provides an opportunity to purchase one. Before you buy that computer, look up the model number on amazon.com to check what they are going for brand new. Good luck!

What do I need to do to us my computer monitor to play my ps3?

Q. I have a HP 2010 Series Wide LCD Monitor. Can anyone tell me what kind of adapters I would need, if any?

A. If it has an HDMI input, you'll just need an HDMI cord. If it doesn't, you'll need an HDMI-to-DVI adapter. I used to have my PS3 set up that way, you'll need to use your AV cords for sound (I had mine plugged into the back of a stereo).

If you have to buy an HDMI cord or the adapter, shop online. You can get both on Amazon for under $15, but Radioshack was going to charge me over $120.

Would buying an ultra HD monitor be the wise choice with my system?
Q. HP Pavilion p6674y Desktop PC
HP 2010 Series Wide LCD Monitor
Windows 7 Home Premium
ATI Radeon HD 4200 video card

My computer can play HD videos (720p and 1080p) but the colors are always REALLY dark or the playback is choppy. My drivers are up to date, but I can't help but think the problem is the monitor (which I assume is pretty middle-of-the-road quality). I want to be able to watch clear 720p and 1080p videos.

I'm looking at the Asus VS247H-P 24-Inch Full-HD LED-Lit Monitor, but don't want to spend the money if it's my whole CPU that's the issue.

Thanks!

A. I really wish people would stop using the term "CPU" to refer to their entire machine. But that's besides the point...

I doubt that the monitor is your problem (your monitor doesn't really have much of a say over how choppy your video is). If I had to venture a guess I'd say the problem if your graphics card: the Radeon 4200 is kind of lower end.

My recommendation would be to buy a new graphics card. If all your doing is watching videos then you don't need to spend money on a gaming card or anything - just a basic $30-$50 card should cut it for you.
