Q. I am planning to buy a 20" TFT LCD PC monitor from abroad and will take it to India. It costs around 400 USD. Will I have tp pay customs duty? Somebody has told me that we can bring with us upto $600 goods duty free. Is it true? Or for IT products it is always duty free whatever be the price ?

Are the stated PC components supported by each other?
Q. I'm kinda new to the 'build your PC from scratch' market, so I was wondering if all the following components are supported by each other and if I will have enough slots to plug in everything together. If not, will you be kind enough to suggest me an alternative from the same website I'm gonna be posting a link to? Oh, and it will be extremely nice if you could tell me if I missed out any component. (I know I need a CPU case, but that comes later.)

A. 2x4GB RAM performs better than 1x8GB RAM because it is dual channel, and you are downgrading it to single channel.
http://www.theitdepot.com/
has a better selection of in stock and orderable computer cases, and sometimes beats flipkart on delivered price.
You show an unlocked clock K version of CPU, but show a B75 motherboard that does not support CPU overclock. The fan you show is a case fan; not a cpu cooler. To overclock, you would need a better CPU cooler than the Intel stock one. The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is a good value but out of stock again at itdepot:
http://www.theitdepot.com/details-Cooler+Master+Hyper+212+Evo+CPU+Coolers_C10P13532.html
I suggest a cheaper i5-3470
http://www.flipkart.com/intel-core-i5-3470/p/itmdd2xsg3gvjzrz?pid=PSRDD2HHC9GF4GEF&ref=f31a3665-b6e7-477c-bf97-da487c3d3e8c
Rs. 11872 vs 14931 (saves 3059 Rs 20%. Performance drop of 6% will not be noticed in gaming as most games do not require high intensity CPU. Might lose one frame per second in Far Cry 3 ultra level). Otherwise, raise the motherboard to a Z77 or Z75 and add the Hyper 212 EVO.
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
You may want to use a better CPU cooler anyway.
Look for ratings of them:
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/awards
Motherboard is OK, but is a budget level compared to CPU and graphics. The board has only 1 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray and that is taken by the HDD. Most H77 boards have 2 x SATA 6Gb/s allowing the important addition of a solid state drive.
Solid state drives can be used for any or all of the following:
1) On Z77 boards, can activate Intel RST/SRT HDD acceleration by a 30GB partition to the SSD that will raise HDD performance to Velociraptor level.
2) Putting Windows on a Solid State drive makes faster boot and shut down, and all active windows processes run faster.
3) Putting Internet Cache folder on SSD makes the internet run faster; especially with Google Chrome that makes a very active use of the Internet in caching data for fast load.
4) Putting interactive games on an SSD makes them respond and load faster.
5) Using a portion as a temporary work in process for video edit or even photo edit improves its speed, and then archive when completed to the spinning HDD.
A modern setup with 3rd gen i5 and GTX 660 ti will usually include an SSD of a size you can afford and you choose how to use it best.

Subtract the extra cabinet fan until you know your computer case. You don't know if you need an 80mm, 120mm, or 200mm or none at all. The case should be a bottom mount power supply and at least 2 fans (intake and exhaust), and wide enough to hold a cpu cooler and deep enough for long graphics cards. It should have front panel USB 3.0 because your motherboard offers it, and also 2.0 connects (having both is better even though 2.0 cables plug into 3.0 ports).
Your monitor choice is a disappointment. It is not 1080p, has a low contrast ratio, is only 5ms GTG response, is only 20 inches. Flipkart selection is terrible. Buy one somewhere else.
I see it is hard to find good displays in India.
http://www.naaptol.com/monitors/dell-s2240m-21-5-inch-led-monitor/P/11631893.html
This is a Dell 21.5 inch IPS but is even worse 7ms GTG. The rest of the parameters are good. Search hard for a 1080p assuring digital input, LED backlit and 5 or less ms response. IPS is excellent about viewing angles and in distance from the screen focusing.
This one looks worth the money:
http://www.naaptol.com/monitors/benq-rl2240h-21-5--gaming-led-monitor/P/12215403.html

Your power supply choice does not appear to be a version suitable for a GTX 660 ti. There are three different versions of VS450 sold. The one described at Flipkart is the single rail one +12V which is good, but only one pcie x 16 auxiliary 6 pin, and the GTX 660 ti needs two. You will need to either upgrade your power supply or downgrade your graphics to GTX 660 or HD 7850.
The sellers of power supplies outside the USA have a wide variety of bad power supplies. Corsair is very good, but you do need 2 6-pin and 450W is minimal.
http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vs550-550-watt-psu/p/itmdg36xx8yzgjrs?pid=PSUDG34775NHYDHK
VS550 appears to be the lowest priced at Flipkart that meets the requirement.

If you are short on money, the CPU downgrade and change to HD 7870
http://www.flipkart.com/gigabyte-amd-ati-gv-r7870oc-2gd-2-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmd9hhsesgnyyh4?pid=GRCD9HHSAVKUZXGF&ref=b4664656-9f21-42a3-a637-e73f699cbdde
Unfortunately, you have squeezed the motherboard, power supply, and display-monitor too tight for good gaming, and already a shame about no SSD at all, but then you need the 2 sata III 6Gb/s.
AN overclocked 2GB GDDR5 HD 7870 should be good enough

Can someone help with several computer problems?

Q. I have a Dell 4400 (bought in 2002). It's been a piece of junk from the day we bought it. Several problems with it and I don't want to call their tech support since I can't understand them anyway (they send you over to someone in India). 1. The monitor will work for awhile then it will slowly get fuzzy. If I shut it off and wait a minuet or two then it will work..but not long so I keep doing this. 2. I stuck a disk into the ROM drive and it doesn't do anything. It wont open any of my disks I put in it. I ran a Check It diagnostics test and is said it can find it.

Like I said it's been junk since I bought it so any ideas will be appreciated. Should I give up on it and buy a new one or try to get this one fixed?
Oh and I've moved the monitor to a friends computer and it does the same thing.

A. Since you bought this in 2002, can I assume it's a CRT monitor? What's happening is there is a questionable component in the CRT, probably a capacitor, that has gone or is going bad. I recommend you confirm this by swapping out the monitor for another if possible and see if you still have the problem. Assuming it's fine and we know for sure it's the monitor, the only realistic solution is a new monitor. You can get them repaired, but the cost is as much as or more than a new monitor. I'd recommend getting a nice 17" LCD, they can be had very reasonably these days.

The CD also sounds like it's bad, but the first thing I would try is checking the cables. With the PC turned off, open the case and unplug, then re-plug in the cables going to the CD-Rom drive. Also reseat the ribbon cable on the motherboard. Recover and fire it up. If it's still not working, then you will probably need to replace it. Fortunately they are inexpensive - around $20 for just a CD-ROM, a little more for a burner or DVD-rom.

Personally I always recommend testing the components by swapping them out to confirm diagnoses before spending any money, if I can at all help it.

A final note - this is an older PC - generally the life expectancy for a home PC is 3-5 years, depending how cutting edge it was when you bought it. Maybe that will help you decide if it's time for a new one...

Need help on my future and first gaming build?
Q. NOTE : I will build it the moment all the components are available.

I don't have any tools for MODDING and local stores here literally charge 10% more.

MOST OF THE RELEASED COMPONENTS ARE LISTED FROM : flipkart.com (BEST online retailer) , theitdepot.com and junglee.com (Amazon of India)

I don't want to upgrade it atleast for 2-3 years. I live in Mumbai,India and my room is VERY HOT and humid. I do have an AC, but who can fulfill that BILL ? :P
BUDGET : $2500 to $3000
Specs with REASONS :
CPU : Intel i7 4770k (Because Flight Simulator X uses more of processor) (Yep, Thats a Haswell)
GPU : Nvidia GTX 780 ( I have many PHSYX and nvidia optimised games ) (Thats a 780 not a 680 ) (Probably a Zotac 2 GB GTX 780)
GPU 2 (Phsyx Processor) (Optional) : Yet to be chosen... (Any suggestions?) (lowest possible which supports SLI and PHSYX)
Motherboard : ASRock Z87 Extreme 6 Motherboard ( Good and affordable ) (Yep, that is a Z87 (for haswell) motherboard, just same as Z77 Extreme6)
RAM : G.Skill TridentX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM (F3-2400C10D-8GTX) (Good for Video making, gaming and has a good speed :D )
RAM Cooler : G.skill Turbulence II FTB-3500C5-D Memory Cooling Fan (I want my PC to be as cool as possible)
PSU : Corsair Modular TX850M 850 Watts PSU (Comments?)
CPU Cooler : Corsair H100i (Fits in my Cabinet and I will overclock)
Case Fan : Cooler Master 90 CFM Blue LED Cooler ( Best performance in my opinion for the price )
Optical Disk Drive : Samsung SH-224BB DVD Burner Internal Optical Drive (Couldn't afford any more and its the best I can get)
Hard Disk Drive : WD Caviar Blue 500 GB Desktop Internal Hard Drive (WD5000AAKX) (I don't deal with any movies and just 10-13 2011-2012 games. I currenlt have this and it can fit in my data even with something like 200 GB left.)
Solid State Drive : Samsung 840 Series 120 GB SSD Internal Hard Drive (MZ-7TD120BW) (840 Pro is too costly and is out of stock on flipkart)
Monitor : Dell S2240L 21.5 inch LED Backlit LCD Monitor (Black) (I'm adapted to 21.5 inch and I don't want any more features)
Wifi-Card : TP-LINK TL-WN751ND 150Mbps Wireless N PCI Network Nic (all others out of stock and its the same speed as my TP Link router ?)
Case : Corsair Graphite Series Special Edition White 600T Mid-Tower Case (CC600T) (Has best features and can fit H100i and its affordable too.)
Keyboard : Tt eSPORTS Challenger Gaming Keyboard (Black, For PC) (Love the fan and lights)
Mouse : Any gaming mouse under $50 (I will try to buy locally)
Don't worry about the software.. I will handle it (P.S : I'm a MSDN Member)
=======
I will use it for :
Ultra-res gaming
Heavy programming, specially Visual Studio 2012
VirtualDJ
Photoshop
FRAPS to record gameplay
Of course, youtubing
Video Editing (Medium)
=======
Games I will play :
ALL GAMES WILL RUN IN ULTRA HIGH RES at 1080p
Flight Simulator X (FSX)
COD (Full series)
Assasins Creed (again full series)
Batman : Arkham Asylum
F1 2012
Dirt 3
NFS (Full series)
GTA (Full series)
Metro (full series)
Quantrum Of Solace
Fuel
Driver (Full series)
Minecraft (Ultra high with heavy texture pack and also I'm a REDSTONE GOD (means LAG) )
@Anthony : That is pure SPAM.

A. Dude just go on CyberPowerPc.com and order a PC from then. Not only are their computers great but you can mod it on their website and theyll assemble it to your liking
