A. >Excellent computer. Just realize now that with Home Premium edition, you are maxed out on the gigabytes of RAM you can have, even if you have more slots on the motherboard. Home Premium 64 bit can only access up to 8 gigs of RAM, that is the only condition I see you might want to consider. But other than that, looks zuper to me.

A. i recommend upgrading a few things.
the motherboard and processor change to lga 2011,the costs are the same as what your getting but theres the option to upgrade to a hexacore in the future.

I also recommend staying away from rosewill power supplies.
I had a 850 watt psu rosewill fortress running a gtx 480,i5 2500k,8gb ram,and single hdd,and a dvd burner.
shoulda been at around 50-70% even a max,but within a month it burned out.
I'd go with a corsair,xfx,seasonic power supply.

the evga one is great because while its rated at 1200 it can output 2700.6x12v rails each with 38 amps.
so 38*12*6.because amps*volts =watts.since theres more than 1 12v rail you mulitply it by the number it has 6
38*12=456
456*6=2736
it's so heavily underrated because they wanted all the prestigious approvals of low ripple,clean power output,etc.

switch the ram to quad channel if you decide to change to the lga 2011

listed both since it's your choice.go with the 660 ti PE if you choose the 660 ti as it is more overclockable than a regular 660 ti,it has 2 pcie connectors vs the 1 on a regular 660 ti.

don't forget the dvd drive,you need to in order to install the bios,they can't be found online and you won't have internet access without them.

Need help on my future and first gaming build?

Q. NOTE : I will build it the moment all the components are available.

I don't have any tools for MODDING and local stores here literally charge 10% more.

MOST OF THE RELEASED COMPONENTS ARE LISTED FROM : flipkart.com (BEST online retailer) , theitdepot.com and junglee.com (Amazon of India)

I don't want to upgrade it atleast for 2-3 years. I live in Mumbai,India and my room is VERY HOT and humid. I do have an AC, but who can fulfill that BILL ? :P
BUDGET : $2500 to $3000
Specs with REASONS :
CPU : Intel i7 4770k (Because Flight Simulator X uses more of processor) (Yep, Thats a Haswell)
GPU : Nvidia GTX 780 ( I have many PHSYX and nvidia optimised games ) (Thats a 780 not a 680 ) (Probably a Zotac 2 GB GTX 780)
GPU 2 (Phsyx Processor) (Optional) : Yet to be chosen... (Any suggestions?) (lowest possible which supports SLI and PHSYX)
Motherboard : ASRock Z87 Extreme 6 Motherboard ( Good and affordable ) (Yep, that is a Z87 (for haswell) motherboard, just same as Z77 Extreme6)

Q. Hi I have a computer (HP) that's about 2 1/2 years old. It currently has a 2.4ghz Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600 model). The specs of the machine are below. I wanted to know what would be an overall better computer for video editing? I just started doing video editing using the basic Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 from microsoft. I recorded a 3.5 hour video on my camera (Sony Handycam HDR-XR150) in 1080 HD using HDFX format. It broke the file into 17 videos and it took about 10 hours to 1. put all the videos together to make 1 video and 2. to save it to 1080p display. I was wondering how much I could benefit with a new Intel Core I7 or AMD Phenom II X6 computer. I currently also have 8GB of DDR2 memory and I've heard DDR3 is much more advanced as are the processors on the market today. What would you recommend and please tell me why. A. Really if money is no object i would do something like this:
-Core i7 2600
-8 or 16gb of ddr3 1600 dual channel ram (i think 8 would be more then enough though)
-Asus/evga/gigabyte 1155 socket motherboard
-nvidia gtx460/560 (for the gaming aspect, if you really want to go high end gtx570). and i would recommend nvidia because of cuda support will help with video editing.
-750W corsair 80+ certified PSU
-An antec or coolmaster case, if you want higher end video cards probably be better to get a full tower(the gtx460/560 will fit in mid towers).
-sata III 6gb/s 32-64gb SSD (for OS/drivers etc)
-sata III 6gb/s 128-256gb SSD (for any software/games)
-and a 1tb 7200rpm sata III 6gb/s HDD for media (like movies, music, pics etc) or you could use your old 640gb drive for this.
-and if you are an audiophile, you can invest in a sound card. I think onboard sound is good enough, it supports 7.1ch surround.
-You can get a lcd monitor, try to get one that supports atleast 1920x1080 resolutions. You can use an old oen if you want.
-You could use your old win7 64bit OS unless it was OEM. If it was OEM then just buy another win7 64bit OEM version. (dont buy retail, OEM means you cant use the OS on any other motherboard but the one you 1st used it on. But by the time you change motherboard win8 will have been out for awhile. OEM=$100 retail=$200, so you could get win7 and win8 OEM for the price of win7 retail so >.>)

Will cost somewhere in the $2000+ range, but should last for a very long time before having to upgrade anything inside it.

I would suggest buying the parts from somewhere like http://newegg.com and http://tigerdirect.com (newegg is better but you might find a part onsale on tiger) and building it yourself. its much cheaper, and not hard to do. you can find videos on like youtube i think.
