A. The easiest way I think would be a way that you could track it, so that's going to mean something like UK's version of FedEx or Priority Mail of some sort. It's going to depend how much it weighs also.

What would be better LCD monitor ASUS VW192T+ or Acer X203Wbd?

Q. I was about to buy the Acer model but then i came acros the Asus VW192T. What do you guys think. They both run at the same native resolution even though one is a 20 inch and the other is a 19 inch. My video card (Geforce 7600GT) can handle the resolution so i'm not worried about that. Have any of you had any experiance with these two monitors and which would you recommend?

A. Both brands are good. Then have been in the market for a long time now and they bring good quality. My brother has ASUS lcd monitor and he is delighted with it. I've searched for Acer X203Wbd and saw good feedbacks also. Though I'm not using this 2 they are good quality. I'm using Dell E1909W 19-Inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor - Arctic Silver. A. You really need hardware to properly calibrate a monitor. Something like Spyder:

They'd have you think that recalibration is necessary frequently, but for all but the most demanding uses (e.g. professional photography, in which case you need to consider your room environment and ambient lighting too), you probably just need a profile (.icm or .icc file). You could just borrow such a device if you can find someone who has one.

Having said that, Widows 7 does have some built-in calibration capabilities: see Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Display, Calibrate color.

Windows (all versions) comes with a variety of colour profiles, one of which may well improve your monitor display. Some LCD monitors have very strong saturation. Profiles are in C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color and WideGamutRGB.icc may be helpful for you.

Will using an LCD monitor with my Xbox 360 be any improvement on SDTV by itself?

Q. I was thinking of buying an LCD monitor to dedicate to my Xbox 360 and wondered if this enhances the image quality at all compared to bog standard SDTV's, etc?

Also, is there such a thing as an HD Monitor and if so where can I find one in the UK?

In replying to the 2nd answer, so if it has a resolution of 1280x1024 thats HD?

A. Mostly all new monitors use HD resolution now standard, getting a lcd will improve the quality as it will be HD, you have to look for one that has 1080i or 720p.

HDTV has two official resolutions, 1280x720 progressive and 1920x1080 interkaced or psf (progressive with segmented frames, like film). (YES I KNOW there is also 1080p but the above 2 are good enough)

Get a monitor that does either of these (or above) and your good to go.

Do I have to worry about overheating with Voltage adator for using my LCD monitor in te USA?

Q. I'm planning on buying an LCD monitor in the UK that runs on the voltage here. I know need an adaptor to use it in the States, but so far I've only used adaptors for smaller devices like electric razors and cell phone chargers.

Since I'll be using the monitor for long periods of time should I be worried about my adaptor overheating or burning out? I don't actually have one right now but I'm planning to get one while in the States.

Or would I be better off just getting a new monitor over there and just buying some cheap, second-hand CRT to use now while I'm in the UK
