How to have audio on Xbox 360 via HDMi on LCD Monitor without having the LCD connected to a Desktop?

Q. Is it possible to connect the Xbox 360 to one of my LCD monitors with HDMi and still have audio without having to connect the PC in and other stuff ... The problem is that the actual LCD Monitor does not have incorporated speakers ... so can normal speakers be connected to my xbox using some cables or extention. Much appreciated

A. Yes, you can do that. You have two options:

1. You can use HDMI for video and the optical audio output on your Xbox if you have one of the model with both.

2. You can use HDMI for video and buy the A/V HD adapter that allows you to use either optical or the red/white rca stereo hookups. You can find these adapters on amazon.

And, of course, you'll need a sound system/speakers that can use whichever connection you go with. You can can an adapter that will go from rca stereo to 3.5mm for portable speaker systems.

how do you connect external speakers to my 23 inch acer lcd monitor?
Q. my lcd monitor has internal speakers but they are not that good. i currently have my xbox 360 connected to it via hdmi cable. my monitor has an audio in input in the back, but when i try to connect my external speakers to it, sound does not come through the external speakers but comes through the lcd monitor speakers. someone help?

A. Well since there is no Audio Out input then you can't use external speakers on the monitor itself.

How do I keep my LCD monitor from streaking when I clean it?

Q. Whenever I clean off my LCD monitor, it leaves streaks behind - not really visible, but noticeable when the monitor's off.

I currently use special wipes for it (LCD screen wipes that I bought from MicroCenter) and a soft cloth (it's an iMac; it comes with a cloth recommended for cleaning). Still streaks.

A. 1: Dry dust lightly first.
2: With the monitor off, spray water on a clean wipe (I'm not sure you need the special ones, but go with those if you have them).
3: Wipe off the monitor without pressing too hard.
4: Dry with a soft dry cloth.

If you still have streaks, repeat.

How can I connect a LCDTV to a desktop home theatre personal computer(HTPC) even if the tv...?

Q. ...does not support PC formats?
I own the LCDTV Viewsonic(3235) and I would like to use this with a home theatre personal (HTPC) desktop computer for recording from TV and FM radio stations. I also want to use the (HTPC) desktop as a digital/analog TV tuner. Do I have to purchase any electronic parts in order to make the LCDTV and HTPC compatible?

A. Well, if I'm correct your lcd tv has a vga input. You can hook your computer up via this input. The only thing the tv will do is act as a monitor. It is not going to help you record anything.

For recording you will need a tv tuner card for your pc. A tv tuner will allow you to watch tv as well as record tv.
There are two types of tv tuner cards. There can be digital or analog. Digital can be used to get Over the Air(OTA) broadcasts which are HD resolutions. Analog cards are used to get regular broadcasting hooked up via cable tv or antenna.

There are many tv tuner cards available. A good start would be the ATI all in wonder cards.

I think there are some cards that have both a analog and a digital tuner in one card.
Here's one such card:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2905637&Sku=H56-2010&SRCCODE=GOOGLEBASE&CMP=OTC-GOOGLEBASE

This should have you set in your HTPC.
Here's an article that will help you build a HTPC and what components you will need.
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2186980,00.asp

It might be a little over the top, but it's a general idea of what a HTPC should be capable of.

Best ViewSonic monitor for playing on an Xbox 360?
Q. I was researching good TV's to play video games on, and couldn't find any. They all had lag. Now, I've decided that I'm going to get a monitor to play games on. I found out that ViewSonic had good monitors especially for console gaming, so which one is the best? I really want the best one available at this time. Thank you.

A. Hi........again, ha ha. Well, when it comes to gaming just as anyone you want the best quality, which gives you a better experience. I like what you've picked considering they also have available 3D versions http://www.viewsonic.com/assets/039/11136.pdf . From what I've learned is that the Viewsonic in general has good or decent Color-depth and Brightness. Not to mention excellent Response time, which is always important to have. I would go with the ViewSonic Vx2250wm-led LCD Monitor.
It was voted best for the 2010-2011 years & out of all the Viewsonic selections. Don't take my word for it though, double check, because it costs $169 - $175 so if you do buy it make sure you pick the one you're absolutly positive you want.

PS - Yes I'm a Movie, gaming, and Space nerd. and proud of it! :D

Does the Pinnacle Dazzle let me view live feed video in full screen on my computer?

Q. I am currently looking towards video editing solutions, but I am also looking for ways to turn m PC into a television for external media devices.

So can the Pinnacle Dazzle provide live feed content to my PC from things like the Xbox 360 in full screen mode without having to be recording at the same time?

A. Nope, I am currently trying to that same exact thing. I just happen to have a dazzle I use for live broadcasting to the web for concerts and such.

During my downtime I would like to be able to use it to to play xbox on my laptop. So far there has been a couple of choices and none of them have helped me cause I am using 64 bit Vista.

If you are using 32 bit xp I have your answer. There is a tv tuner software available on downloads.com that is free and allows you to do that very same thing on 1080p setting. I should leave you hanging cause I still haven't found my answer. But http://www.download.com/DScaler/3000-13632_4-10518807.html will get you the exact software you need.

Future reference; if that links goes dead just google, Dscaler, it is a tuner software and it is open source. I am not affiliated with any of these companies listed here accept http://www.southlinemusic.com and if our website starts to help with things like this on a regular basis I will quit, lol....I would rather pownz you than help you...

There is a real simple solution that is cheaper than buying a dazzle for your puter. If you are just trying to connect your xbox to a monitor go to the gamers store and by the adapter to connect your xbox to a monitor. It is only 20 bucks and the dazzle starts at 50 bucks.

The quality will be the same if not better. The only way to get get real 1080p on a monitor w/o latency will be to spend 550 bucks on a gamerz Monitor and if you are spending that kinda money on hardware you will not be surfing for these small answers. BTW a good gamers monitor is 120hz, 2ms, 3000:1, 24inch. Find those in a monitor of the cheapest price and you are set. Anything more and it is a gimic. I know you want the 40 inch monitor but if you go bigger you will need a higher ratio than 3000:1.

No, flat screen tv's are not better than monitors cause they have 50000:1. They are just bigger so they need a higher number. Lcd beats Plasma everytime and monitors beat them both. Take my well spent cash's word for it. You will not be able to beat the FPS on a monitor. That is the truth.

5ms is all you really need but 2ms is rapidly available for some reason. If you can truly tell the difference then you need to register as a mutant for freakish vision.

3000:1 on a 24in monitor is an amazing color just make sure they are not bullsh*tting you. Typically this is where they lie.

1080p is better than 1080i and 780 is the lowest. I'll get that out of the way too.

Alas I have a laptop and I need the dazzle to work. So I will continue looking for my solution and the odds are good I will not find this thread again. So if you would like to stay updated visit me at http://www.southlinemusic.com and post a request for tech there in our blog and maybee ill see it. Better yet Register with the site, I am the admin. Once registered you can IM or email me. My name is Ron.

last note; if you do decide to go LCD TV for GAMING then the matte finish is your only choice. If you wanna watch your little girly movies then get the glossy crap. Personally I do not like to see reflections of lamps on my end tables while I am watching "On Golden Pond" but your grown and prolly prefer "Fried Green Tomatoes" after "Operah Late night" cause that is the only time you can watch a gloss tv is from the comfort of your cave.

If you happen to get powned by FragginRite on Gears of War 2, don't feel bad I am just better than you. Itsa spider Biatch.......

What is the difference between LED and LCD monitors?

Q. I want to buy new monitor but confuse about choice, which would be better, LED or LCD?

A. led is best

Whats a difference between a 120hz LCD vs 120hz LED monitor?
Q. Can anyone shed some light? I'm stuck between buying the benq xl 2410 or asus vg236he. Only difference is asus is lcd and benqis led. Is it worth paying $400 for the led instead of the $328 lcd? What's the difference?

A. The only difference between an LCD and LED display is the backlight. In ordinary LCD displays, some sort of luminescent lamps are used, whereas LED displays use LED's (light-emitting diodes). The LED's consume less power (and therefore emit less heat), they also usually produce steadier light. The LED's also typically live longer than luminescent lamps.
Since LED displays consume less power and live longer, they are more economical in a long range. But given the price difference, it's unclear whether you'll get return on your investment any time soon (if at all).
Since the light characteristics differ quite a lot between different luminescent lamps and even more so between any of them and LED's, I'd suggest looking at the displays in question before buying them - just to make sure you like the colors.

How to choose gaming LCD/LED monitor?

Q. I am planning to get a new LCD or LED monitor for gaming. What should I look for when choosing a monitor for gaming. Can you also give me some recommendations please.
Thanks

A. There are many important factors to purchasing you monitor.
1- Buy a monitor with a 2ms response rate or less
2- Are you ever going to use nvidia 3d? If yes, buy a monitor with 120hz refresh rate.
3- Resolution. A good gaming resolution for the price is 1920x1080. Most games do not exceed this resolution.
4- Size. Monitors have different lengths, but can have the same resolution. This means the DPI changes, or more pixels per inch square. This really won't make much difference though.
5- Contrast ratio. Look for high contrast ratios.
6- Color. Get a monitor with a wide field of color.
7- LED back lit. This affects the brightness

Verdict

I strongly recommend this monitor:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236083

When I considered buying a new gaming monitor, this was my top pick for the price.

What is the difference between an LCD and an LED monitor?
Q. My monitor for my desktop is going out. It turns black after about 10 seconds of being on. Instead of figuring out what is wrong, I decided to just buy a new one but I do not know the difference in LCD and LED. I want one to last me longer than just the four years this one has but is also best bet for the price. Can someone just explain the difference please?

A. LED is actually the type of backlighting used by some LCD monitors. Many low end and early LCD displays use cold cathode tubes for backlight, newer, higher quality LCD displays will use LED backlighting and LED type backlights are significantly superior to cold cathode backlights in display quality- better contrast, image clarity, uniform brightness. LEDs have generally lower power consumption(great for battery powered devices), take up much less space and last a very long time, plus if one LED dies (I've never actually had that happen to me yet), it won't render the display completely unusable, the only downside I can think of with LED backlit LCD displays is that they are a bit more expensive.

where can i find monitor calibration software?

Q. just gotta pc it has ati radeon hd 4550 in it and i running it on 32 lcd hdtv and i think the picture looks off any ideas where i can get some free tools to calibrate it?

A. Google them. Normally you actually buy a device that you attach to the monitor that calibrates it.

Whats the best monitor for designing in photoshop?
Q. Previously, I had a LG 15inch CRT, and now my office has provided me with a Compaq 8510p laptop. I find the LCD display of the laptop kinda confusing as the colours look different everytime I move the screen. Maybe I should ask for a CRT monitor?

what do you guys say? I am a graphic designer, and 99% of the time
I am on photoshop. Other graphic designers, please advise.

A. You should base your decision on what type of work you do, it's not about the program, but the media and deliverables you're producing. If you're doing print work your money may be better spent on calibration software/hardware. If you're doing web design work there's no point in having an extremely good monitor since 90% of the visitors will not see what you do. If you're doing broadcast work then a broadcast monitor would be good. I personally do a little of everything and use a Dell WFP 2407 WC which has a 92% color gamut. It's helpful when doing printwork, but when doing web design it's actually very hard because I constantly need to make sure my colors are going to look similar on a typical consumer monitor.

Do not get a CRT, get an LCD, having a widescreen monitor is much easier to work on and after a month or so you'll hate working on any monitor that isn't widescreen.

What's the difference between buying an LCD monitor and an LCD Television today?

Q. Because I'm thinking of getting an LCD monitor for my computer but why not just get an LCD TV and use it as my computer monitor among other things? Whats the difference?

A. There are numerous differences between lcd monitors and lcd tv sets today. The biggest difference is resolution. LCD monitors have way higher resolution than HDTVs. Most consumer HDTVs max out at 1920x1080 pixels (1080p aka "full HD") while common monitors with screen sizes 24-30" are capable of 1900x1200 or even 2560x1600 (that's way more resolution than your common 1080p tv set). Basically, LCD monitors have better pixel pitch since they have a lot more pixels at a much smaller screen size (compare a 1920x1080 50" with a 2560x1600 resolution 30" monitor).

Next is panel technology. Most manufacturers of LCD monitors use TN panels, while almost all LCD tvs use something like MVA (not sure about ips). Basically, TN is cheap and the monitors reflect this in their prices. TN gives fast response times while MVA/IPS allows excellent color reproduction as well as preventing colors from shifting when viewed at an angle. However, there are many mva/ips LCD monitors too, it's just that they're usually much much more expensive.

LCD monitors also usually do not have tv tuners but some, like the samsung T240HD do come with a buil-in tuner and a remote control.

Before buying, try to research first on the LCD tv's input lag and response times, since these will be the factors most readily apparent in everyday computer use.

How Good is LED monitor Compare to LCD Monitor For photo Editing and Gaming?
Q. I have thinking to Purchase LED or LCD monitor monitor for my photo editing purpose but also for GAming, but my question which are the best for editing?

A. For those who don't know, LED monitors are just LCD monitors that use bright white LEDs instead of fluorescent bulbs as the backlight.

The main advantage of LED monitors is that they consume much less power than traditional monitors. They can also have improved contrast ratios since LEDs can be dimmed over a wider range of brightness (the backlight is dimmed when displaying dark colors).

For accurate color reproduction when photo editing, either LED or LCD technology would be fine. The best monitor for the job would depend on other factors such as panel type. A more expensive IPS panel would be better than a cheaper TN panel that would have significant color shifting when the viewing angle changed.

Any practical way to connect a cable TV box to LCD monitor?

Q. I have an Explorer 4200 cable TV box with RCA jacks, RF coax and an S-video port, and a Gateway 900W LCD computer monitor with both DVI and VGA ports. Is there any way of connecting the cable box to the monitor with simple cables, or will it require an expensive converter of some kind?

A. Just call your cable TV company and ask for a digital HD cable box.

Most cable companies like Time Warner, Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, etc. all offer free upgrades to an HD cable box.

These digital HD cable boxes usually have either a DVI or HDMI output port, which you can connect to any HDCP-compliant LCD Monitor. (Yes, DVI is compatible with HDMI). This works most of the time.

If by some chance this doesn't work, then start thinking about spending money for a converter or something.

Hope this helps.

Can I connect My LCD Monitor to my cable box?
Q. I have a HP 2009m LCD monitor. My cable box is a Explorer 3200.

What cables do I need for this?

A. The HP 2009m monitor can be connected to a digital HD cable box. That would be something like a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3200HD, which has a DVI or HDMI port that is compatible with the HDCP-compliant DVI port on your HP 2009m.

Your Explorer 3200 is the old low-definition box that has no DVI or HDMI, so it will NOT work with the HP 2009m.

Solution: Upgrade your cable TV service to digital HD. Your cable company will exchange your 3200 for a 3200HD, which you can then hook up to your HP 2009m.

Hope this helps.

Why is the cost of an LCD monitor so much higher when purchased separately from a computer?
Q. You can buy a $350.00 Dell and get a 17" LCD monitor with it. If you try to buy the same monitor separately, it will cost around $200.00. It seems as if the computer industry is keeping the purchase price artificially high.

A. yes

dell has an outlet site, it could be cheaper there

or try overstock.com

they liquidate lots of stuff

How do I setup multiple monitors with my laptop?

Q. I've just bought an LCD monitor and tried to set it up so I can see better on a larger screen instead of on the tiny screen on my laptop. However, after hooking up the cable, only the desktop wallpaper is shown on the LCD monitor screen and nothing else. What's the problem? Please help!!

A. That's how it is supposed to be. You only get your taskbar and system icons on your primary monitor. Just drag and drop things over to the other screen.

Is it normal for a monitor to make clicking noises at random when monitor is off and on?
Q. ....it's a kind of a plastic-related clicking noise..which occurs alone (single click at a time) totally at random...maybe about 2-3 times an hour or less. Monitor can be on or off. Noise is the same.

It's kind of loud at times.

Is this normal? Could it just be the case "settling in" or something?

Had it for some months now.

It's a very large TFT LCD monitor.

A. My 26 inch TV has been doing the same thing you describe for as long as I can remember in the 16 years I have owned it. Still works fine.

What brand is normally better for computer screens?

Q. Well i am going to buy a LCD monitor and i was wondering what brand is normally the best quality for a computer screen, out of these 3 can you put in order whats the worst to best?

LG, Samsung and Asus.

Thanks.

A. In my experience...
Samsung LCD 5 years and still works great same goes for my samsung tv...
LG, bought one brand new and it had dead pixels right out of the box.
Asus, never owned but our school had a bunch and they always had to send them for repair!

What is the best LCD monitors for the best price?
Q. I am looking into getting a new LCD monitor so I can take advantage of my 256mb video card with a DVI output. I am wondering if anybody has some good input on which brand and model to get , I like the samsung T220 with it's 20000:1 contrast ratio . Thanks for you input.

A. Yes I can give you some input. For real, no b.s. like on Polls and Surveys. I studied monitors last year extensively, and here are my results:

The two best choices I could find were Viewsonic and Samsung. I went with the Viewsonic 22" because of it's extremely high user satisfaction ratings, the unbelievable warranty it came with, and the price. Samsung was neck-n-neck, with Viewsonic. But the warranty wasn't as good, and they weren't on the market as long so I had no long term performance information to go on. You will never regret buying a Viewsonic anyway. They are not going out of business, and their quality is near the top of the heap. I bought it from COSTCO. If you don't have a membership then I recommend that you get one, because you are going to save the membership fee with the monitor purchase anyway. They have both Samsung and Viewsonic. You can go with the Samsung, if you want. You won't hear complaints from me. I'm just advising you from extensive experience and age (unfortunately), how you can make the best choice. You can see my monitor on my 360. The picture is tiny, but, you can see it.

Can you use an S video cable to connect a VCR to a computer?

Q. Can you use an S video cable to connect a VCR to a computer? And could somebody please explain to me a bit about the s video cable and what it can do when its connected to a computer. My computer has an s video cable port in the back but i dont know much about it. Thanx!

A. Okay, first, does your VCR have an S-video connector? Only good ones from the late 80's on sport one, sadly. If it doesn't, just use standard composite. S-video provides color seperation for better video quality, but VHS material looks marginal enough, especially in EP mode or when made with dirty heads, that it doesn't matter too much. If your VCR has S-video, make sure your computer's is for input and not analog TV-out display. If you don't have S-video in, drop a few bucks on a Taiwanese video capture PC card- spend more if image quality matters. Even the worst will have both composite and S-video in. Such a card will allow you to import VHS video and edit or view it as you see fit. I use mine to view VHS on my LCD monitor, but you can bring the video into something like Premiere, too.

Should I get a Apple Cinema display or a LCD TV for my Powermac G5?
Q. I am planning to buy some type of monitor for my Powermac G5. The Mac Cinema display is $899 and is 24 inches. However, I am thinking that I can get a decent sized flat screen tv for that price or less. My question is, would there be any lag using the tv for computer purposes such as video editing etc. Or should I just get the Cinema Display.

A. The Apple 24" LED Cinema Display will not work with your Powermac G5.

You will have to use some other monitor.

The LED Cinema Display will only work with the newer Macs that have a miniDisplayPort-- It will not work with older Macs that only have ACD, VGA or DVI.

Is it okay to use baby wipes to clean my LCD flat screen monitor?

Q. i just want to wipe it clean and ive read in previous questions and answers not to use windex but someone saif a baby wipe would work, they do have alcohol in them however. could i just use a soft cloth and water? im not really wanting to go buy something if i dont have to.

A. cloth and water works fine. you don't need to buy a baby wipes just to wipe your lcd screen. i use baby wipes all the time (only because there's a baby in the house) for cleaning the screen, and it doesn't damage the screen or anything.

How can I clean the lcd screen on my laptop without damaging it?

I don't really want to go out and buy a pack of lcd wipes, but can someone help me out with a few good tips?
and please stop with the whole water and paper towels idea...

A. I use baby wipes, no alcohol formula. If its safe enough for my daughter's bottom, it is safe enough for the monitor. No problems in the past 15 years I have been using them.

Also- I live in a remote mountain city in SE Asia. We do have a hardware store but specialty items are rare.

How many watts of power will I need for my gaming computer?

Q. This summer I plan on building my own gaming PC and assembling it at home because it is cheaper and I like to customize things myself. It is an 850 dollar computer but the specs are exceptional. For the motherboard and processor, I am following a YouTube tutorial. In the YouTube video it says only 500 watts of power are needed, but in the comment section somebody (who was picked for best answer) claims that you actually need at least 630. I am planning on getting a 750 watt battery anyways, but if I don't need to, I'll try and get something cheaper. So how much power will I need based on this setup:

A. 500W (or greater) power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connector recommended

http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/7000/7850/Pages/radeon-7850.aspx#2

Thus, for a system with a single HD7850, a good branded 600W PSU is the ideal one to get and since your mobo does not support crossfire, then that 750W is too much for that build since Xfire is already not possible.

BTW, for Xfire, amd recommends 600W minimum, thus 700W is the ideal one to have (just an added info).

I have a Dell Inspiron with an HDMI port and a vga port on the back. can I attach a monitor to each port?
Q. Will windows 7 run three monitors, the lcd monitor on the laptop, one monitor on the HDMI port and a third monitor off the vga port? If so how do I configure it in windows settings?

A. i would imagine so , plug them all in and see what happens , wont do any harm, i know windows can support many monitors at one time , and i would imagine that it should be clever and except 2 different forms or input ! when you plug them in go to settings , appearance , screens (along those lines) and you can adjust the resolution / position on external displays.

hope this helps :)

What is the monitor called where you don't have to struggle to find the best viewing angle?

Q. My lap top monitor is a constant annoyance because of the restricted viewing angle. My TV, an old style model, has no viewing problems based on the angle of viewing. When I buy my next laptop I don't want this problem. What is the type of display called where there is no problem of this kind?

A. LCD screen with In-Plane Switching (abbreviated to IPS) displays have wider viewing angles. You'll find it mostly in higher-end laptops, like Sony's Vaio S series.

Are there any programs out there to prevent image persistence on an LCD monitor?
Q. I am making a computer at work that a group wants to have an Outlook calendar displayed on during the work day, but they don't want to use a screensaver. Looking for something that would prevent the image being burned into the monitor.

A. The off switch.

If you leave an image up then you run the risk of getting image sticking.

However, with LCDs it is much harder to get an image to stick compared to phosphor burn on an CRT. TN panels are less susceptible than IPS or VA panels. Also running the monitor with a blank screen for a day should clear any stuck image.

What amplifier i need for my car PC project?

Q. I have a 2008 VW golf GT with the standard 8 speakers package and i am planning to put a car pc. I will remove the oem Head Unit and put a 7" inch lcd monitor. I will need an amplifier to connect the speakers to it and then the amplifier to the carpc. My question is what type of amplifier i will need? I will have to buy 2 4-channel amplifiers?

Thanks in advance

A. A 4-channel with an optional mono amp for subs.

For a "carputer" the idea is to have a "non-hard drive" based computer that runs stand alone Windows XP/Vista from a Bootable USB drive that runs the music player of your choice using plugins.

Your MP3's are stored on another USB drive that can be removed for editing.

This all ties into your sound system (amps, subs/speakers).

No hard drive means nothing will crash. A touch screen display is really the only other peice of equipment needed that can be custom mounted in your dash as you say.

Look up BartPE and Sherpya. These two guys found a way to run the full GUI of Windows XP on a USB drive (under 600 Mb).

A shuttle style computer is all you need for the computer. You can even have 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby digital.

Here is a good place to start:

How to secure flat panel monitor better?
Q. I just bought two 22" LCD monitors on put them on my glass desk. I have a keyboard tray with my keyboard and mouse on them. Whenever I type, the monitors shake because of the cheap keyboard tray. Even when I put the keyboard on the glass where the monitors are sitting they still shake. Anybody have any ideas as to how to secure them better so they don't wobble around when I type? It's annoying!
Yes, they "clicked in" when I put them together. I can't believe they wobble so much.

A. first of all are they secure in their individual stands? you might want to double check that. i put mine on a lazy susan so i can easily turn or move but it also gave it more stability.

LED or LCD monitor - which is better for the eyes?

Q. Hi,

So recently I have been experiencing eye-strain but I have to use my computer (I'm a freelance front-end web developer). I currently have a monitor that is a few years old. It's a Dell 20" Flat Panel Display LCD monitor (Model no: SP2008wfP). I'm wondering if an upgrade would improve it even slightly? If so which monitor should I get;

- Samsung S22b150n 21.5" LED Monitor

or

- Samsung S24b150b 24" LED Monitor

A. Personally when choosing monitors I would go with a LED over a LCD just by preference.

Going in deeper though any monitor is no better than any other when it comes to eye damage, as none actually cause eye damage. Unless your using a Radioactive screen (which in that case you've got other problems) your fine.

What you really want to focus on is the power, and managing the nature of the lighting efficiency.

Hope this helped.

Why do the 360 graphics look mediocre ?
Q. I have a 19" widescreen HD LCD monitor. and I'm that impressed by the 360 graphics.

A. My guess is because you may be a computer gamer. The 360 and the PS3 have finally caught up with the graphics that a decent PC has had for quite some time. I wasn't impressed at first either, but that was before I played Gears of War. You also have to remember that game developers have not learned the full potiential of the system yet and as time passes the games will get better and more impressive.

What is the best lcd monitor to play your ps3 on it?

Q. I want to know whats is the best quality of lcd monitor so I could play my ps3 on it. I have a plasma tv that I bought in 2003 and I hear that old plasma tv doesn't go with a ps3 because it will break the tv. I want to use the monitor to surf the web, play ps3,watch movies and listen to musics. If possible send me a link.
Thanks in advance

A. you can consider buying Samsung P2250 22-Inch Widescreen Touch of Color LCD Monitor
The ultra-high 50,000:1 Dynamic Contrast ratio of the P2250 creates deeper, more dramatic dark tones and brighter, more striking light tones

Q. Whats a good response time for a LCD monitor that has zero ghosting and is good for games and movies?
