What is the life of LCD Screens comes for Computer ?

Q. I want to buy LCD Screen for my new system but I am afraid,
cause I heard LCD comes in TFT(Thin Film Transistor) technology and It uses 1 transistor for 1Dot pixel in screen, I know the cases of Dead pixel which may corrupt our LCD Screen.
So I want to know what is the Life of Computer LCD Screen?

Is there any different technolgoy available in Computer LCD Screen which can help for long life of LCD without this kind of Problem?

A. The last LCD screen I had with any stuck or dead pixels was a Sony laptop I bought January 2000 and it had other screen issues from a poorly designed ribbon cable.

None of the other LCD laptops or monitors at work or home have have had any noticeable stuck or dead pixels, and I have not noticed any on a 27" HDTV Ready LCD I got years ago or the 40" I have had for a year or two. Not that it cannot happen with a substandard brand. Mechanical failure from abuse is more likely. Typical lifetime of the backlight is 50,000 hours, which if you used it 8 hrs per day every day would be about 17 years.

We did have one LCD monitor fail completely (blacked out) by I think that was probably due to a fatigued solder joint on a VGA socket. Whatever it was, the LED would blink green instead of steady green when on or blinking amber in standby. But that was just one failure of many faultless.

A. Much depends upon:

1. What output ports are available on your PC.
2. What input ports are available for your Panasonic.

There are converters to change (for instance) DVI to VGA, but you will always suffer some degradation of definition when you use one of these.

I would add that your current video card would also need to support dual monitors for this to be successful. If it does not, you might invest in a USB video card that installs it's own drivers and allows dual monitors to be used irrespective of the original video card.

Something to think about, anyway. :-)

What is the best type(LCD, LED, Plasma) of tv for console gaming?

Q. I think I'm going to go with the brand Samsung so really I'm wanting to know if LCD, LED, or Plasma will give the best gaming experience. Longevity is also a small factor.

A. Go with a 42" plasma by panasonic, its the smallest they make, with a 15.8 GBps or greater transfer rate HDMI cable. Panasonic bought Pioneer's panel technology when they went out of business. Plasmas don't have that screen burn issue any more either. Plasmas have 0.00001ms or something like that pixel response, and true 600hz refresh rate. (600 pictures per second). The problem with 240hz and 120hz tv's is its all picture processing and creates a fair amount of input lag and unnatural movement. LCD TV's are terrible for gaming, no matter what the refresh rate or pixel response time. If you want a small screen, which would give you a very sharp, crisp picture, get a Samsung 2770FH monitor, its a 27", with a 10.2 GBps transfer rate HDMI cable. They are a 1ms pixel response time monitor, 60hz which is ps3's native output refresh rate, and the reason pixel response is important is because the lower the response time, the sharper the picture stays. I owned one and it was a wonderful screen, and I noticed a big difference between it and the samsung 23" 2ms monitor immediately playing F1 2010. Anywho, hope this helps, get internet that is at least 1 mega byte download speed, and always set whatever screen you get to game mode.

If you are not talking about software, then certainly you mean the LCD technology behind! The LCD Panel inside iMacs are manufactured by LG, they are made in China and only assembled in California by Apple. For example the 27" LCD in iMac have the following specs: LED-backlit glossy widescreen TFT active-matrix liquid crystal display with IPS technology,
Resolution: 2560 by 1440 pixels,
Typical brightness: 375 cd/m2,
It can be attached to a wall mount, articulating arm, or other VESA-compliant mounting solution using the optional VESA Mount Adapter Kit. Technically speaking, it is really hard to get an equivalent Monitor using this LCD technology in the market presently. I don't find any monitor competing with the Apple LCD technology.

As for the Apple Cinema Display 27" (i.e monitor only) the following can be noted:
27-inch (diagonal viewable image size) thin film transistor (TFT) active-matrix liquid crystal display with in-plane switching (IPS).

Supported resolutions: 2560 by 1440 pixels, 1920 by 1080 pixels, 1280 by 720 pixels
Colors (maximum): 16.7 million
Aspect ratio: 16:9
Viewing angle: 178° horizontal; 178° vertical
Brightness (typical): 375 cd/m2
Contrast ratio (typical): 1000:1
Response time (typical): 12 ms

To get the equivalent for this is really really hard although not impossible. According to my experience, I haven't seen another display equivalent to the Apple Cinema Display. That said, the Apple Cinema Display has it's disadvantages as well for eg it uses a Mini Display Port!
