When taking a picture of a pure white paper it shows up bluish on my cameras LCD monitor ?

Q. Using a Canon Rebel XS. I can't figure out why the LCD monitor picture is darker than what it looks like through the viewfinder eyepiece. I am taking pictures of small objects and would like to have every picture have a bright pure white background.

A. Two possible options
1. You are shooting with the wrong whitebalance
2. your monitor is in dire need of calibration

The first can be fixed with a quick look at your manual, for the second this will be a good solution: http://amzn.com/B0037255LC

How do I turn on the camera of my lcd monitor?
Q. I recently bought Viewsonic LCD monitor(VX2255wm)w/built in camera..i already installed the installation software for the LCD and the webcam but whenever I click the icon for webcam..it prompts ERROR "Pls. turn on the camera". What should i do about this? pls. help!!

btw..i already read and understood the manual but i says nothing about my problem...

A. I notice the driver was recently modified..I wonder if you should download from here.

The only other thing I can think of is ...your computer may have the early version usb port and not the Hi-Speed USB 2.0
If it is your usb..your can upgrade your older computer with one.

Good Luck
