Q. I have an lcd computer monitor which I would like to play ps3 on. I need to know what I need(names please!!) and how to set it all up, including sound. However, my ps3 does not have an hdmi cable, It runs on vga and I only have 1 slot on the monitor for vga, which is used by my computer! :z

ps3 must have a hdmi slot if you mean you dont have a cable buy any cheap 1 and a vga to hdmi converter thingy that should do it. everything will work .

Can I play my ps3 without the av cable if I have a hdmi cable?
Q. I want to buy a lcd monitor and I want to play my ps3 on it but the problem there isn't a port to put the av cable there is only the hdmi port. I want to know if I can play only with the hdmi cable.
A. Yes, you can play with only an HDMI cable (but be sure to have a power cable as well). Also, most monitors do not have speakers built in so you'll likely need something else to play sound for you.
