How much less energy does an LCD monitor use compared to a CRT?

Q. Just to be comparative, let's say a 19 inch LCD monitor vs. a 19 inch CRT monitor used for the same amount of time. How much less energy does the average LCD use and could that add up to any significant savings over a month's or year's time? I'm just curious, and if it really makes a difference, I'll factor that in to my purchase.

A. Energy Requirements: LCD monitors are extremely economical when it comes to power consumption. Their consumption is in the region of 25 -50 watts compared to CRT which consume like 60-80 watts for a 15 inch model to almost 70 to 150 for 17 and 19 inch models.

How can I get my LCD television to play the sound for my computer?
Q. I have a 15 inch LCD television hooked up to my computer.I can't get the sound to play when Im on my computer.I dont have any speakers hooked up to my computer because the LCD has speakers.I went to the volume controls and it still isnt doing no sound. What will I have to do to get sound to come out?

A. I'm sure that in the settings on the computer you can change where you want the sound to come from. Search around in the control panel or something. It's prbably set to external speakers at the moment and you'll have to change it to coming from the TV/monitor speakers.
