Is there a remote control that I can use to focus and shoot video with my Canon 7D?

Q. Im looking into buying a 14' Camera crane, and there is HD LCD monitor that will come equipped and I need to find a remote control that will focus and zoom and what not for the Canon 7D to make things more efficient.

Is there such a thing?

A. They do make a remote you can sart and stop recording with. No, they do not make a remote for focus and zoom. for that you would have to buy an electronic follow focus and zoom.

Is the canon t3i good for making films or should I get the 60d?
Q. I want to shoot music videos documentaries and short films and it seems like the t3i is good for this but some tell me to get the 60d or 7d the 7d is way out of my budget. Should I stick with the t3i or get the 60d

A. It is true that the 60d is almost double the price of the t3i. So i suggest you go for the t3i. It has a number of enhanced features which make it an excellent choice for shooting videos. Some of its video capturing features are:

1. 8.0 MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 Image Processor for high image quality and speed
2. ISO 100 - 6400 for shooting from bright to dim light
3. Vari-angle 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor (3:2) for shooting at high or low angles and 4. 1,040,000-dot VGA with reflection reduction
5. Video Snapshot features for enhanced video shooting options

Read this review from an actual user comparing the t3i and 60d. It will help you make your decision:

Best price for the 60d if you still want to look at it:
