A. The samsung is better. When looking at LCD monitors, the higher contrast ratio and the faster response time are both important factors. Samsung also has a good reputation for video products.

Q. I need an affordable monitor Whats the best deal you might know of?$159.99 on an acer 19 at tigerdirect is ok, but I want more bang formy buck or mayb step up to a 22 inch.Thanks for your help Merry Christmas.

A. Remember that buying LCD monitors online is always a risky proposal. Negligent shipping practices will get you a monitor with dead pixels (or even worse, one that is DOA)

Spend the extra $30 and get a decent Viewsonic or BenQ off newegg. It's a heavy investment... better to spend a little extra now instead of ending up with a $150 paperweight...
