Q. My brother just got a new computer for his birthday. It came with a large LCD monitor (which we have not had before), but the monitor seems to be lit much brighter from the bottom than the top. He loves to do artwork on the computer and the color-fade is bad enough that it's interfering with his art. He asked some people online and they told him this was normal for LCD monitors but the color difference seems oddly intense. Does this sound like it's normal, or a defect? Or just a cheap monitor?

Things that come off the factory line goes right into a box and shipped out, no test, or anything. Therefore giving you a year warranty. (bad egg)
Refurbished are those defects that get sent back, gets fixed and sold as refurbished and discounted - slightly - and you get a 3 month warranty on that.

How can i find a good monitor calibration program for my monitor?
Q. I have a Dell M992 monitor.
the colors are bad,dull and not Vivid,Bright and Neon fluorescent,it's looks like a dull dirty swamp.
so is there a good monitor (prefer or works for it) calibrator that can adjust the Hue,Contrast,Brightness,Saturation and Gamma for my monitor.

As Dr Dave said though, these are not automatic and if the desired result is out of the range the monitor can handle then the only solution is to get a new monitor.
