What is an affordable, quality LCD TV for a college student?

Q. I want to get an affordable, quality LCD TV to use as both a Television and a monitor for my computer (Macbook Pro). A good picture quality is important because I will be watching movies and playing games with this screen.
Hook me up! Haha.

Thanks in advance!

A. Check Toshiba's website or look at B&H Video's website for Toshiba monitors. A 19" HD LCD / PC Monitor goes for about $250. In general, Toshiba's prices are lower.

How can I optimize my monitor resolution with my Macbook Pro?
Q. I have a 23" ASUS LCD monitor that I was using via HDMI with my PC. Now I have a Macbook, and the monitor is hooked up via the HDMI/DVI adapter, but the resolution, even set at 720 on isn't nearly as good as before. Am I stuck with this or is there a way to get the external display looking as good as it did with PC?

A. 23" monitors are usually 1920X1080 not 720p (1280X720)
try setting it to 1920X1080.
