Q. I'd like to detach the screen, then extend the connections it has to the CPU so that the laptop would essentially become a PC with a separate monitor. I plan on wall mounting the Touch Screen LCD, then running a wire/wires to the base of the laptop hidden away.
Any ideas? Has anyone tried such a thing?

A. Its WAY above your head. The mylar strip that sends signals to the monitor tears very easily. I suggest you forget the idea.

Q. How many LCD monitors can I hook up to a Gate way FX laptop? I have seen have multiple screens mounted on there wall hooked up to their computer. Which I want that! lol, I do have a monitor port and a HDMI port. Is there a spilter or somthing?
A. Actually because your laptop might have many outputs doesn't mean it will support them all at once. My computers graphics card has 1 VGA 1 DVI and 1 S-video but it can only run 2 screens at once. So most likely you will only be able to run 2 screens at once.
