How can I make a lcd panel from an old computer display television?

Q. It is a 10.5 inch hitachi lcd panel (for a laptop) with two cords for power and 31 input slots. Is there some way to use these input slots for video, do I need a signal decoder in between? thanks for your help...

A. if you have the cable box for the monitor to plug into, then you just need a converter from your monitor plug to your tv cable plug

Do you get some kind of digital cable? or Direct TV or something? with these digital cable services you do need a cable box from the company,

If you just have normal free town cable then you prob. just need something like this http://www.cnet.com/4520-7387_1-6341848-2.html?tag=tab

How can I get a small black scratch mark from a liquid screen monitor?
Q. My roommate dropped his large video camera onto his liquid screen monitor. The rubber lens part left a smudge. The mark is the size of a small scratch, yet it is so annoying, yet I don't want to take the chance of melting the screen by cleaning it with some solution... Please help!

A. If it's a smudge and not an actual scratch, you might be able to remove it with plain water and a soft 100% cotton cloth (an old T-shirt is perfect.)

Patience is the key. Don't try to remove the smudge by rubbing as hard as you can. That's guaranteed to damage the screen. Wipe the smudge as gently as you can in the direction of the smudge (not in a circular pattern.)

You make have to work on this for several hours so as to not damage the screen. If you run out of patience, there are several commercial liquid LCD cleaners. Don't pour the cleaner onto the screen, just dampen the cloth. LCD screens are fragile so it's possible the smudge may not come off.
