What is a Large-Format LCD Monitor? Has does it differ from a LCD monitor with high resolution?

Q. While two monitors are 30 inches, one is a large format LCD with lower resolution and more expensive, and the other is a monitor with higher resolution but costs less. Please explain what does "large format" mean.

A. Large format monitors are normallly used for public displays. The resolution is lower than monitors normally used for pcs. This makes text and images larger because the pixels aren't as close together.

What kind of output has best video quality, composite video or component video for a 30 feet cable length?
Q. I have install a 34 LCD monitor using a DVD as video source but I don't know what output has the best video quality for a length of 30 feet of cable (RG6) to avoid distortion or ghosts. What is the best option?

A. i will have to assume since you didnt indicate what outputs your dvd player has. really any cable will work at that distance, but you may have to go with a larger gauge to make sure the signal doesnt degrade.
the ranking in quality goes as such, from best to worst
hdmi
component
s video
composite
coaxial
i would rec going to www.monoprice.com. they will have any and every cable you need, and will have a best rec gauge for the length cable you need. the prices are incredible, the product is top notch, and the cust service kicks butt. this is the only place i buy my cables now
