Help with my Samsung SyncMaster P2450H TFT LCD 24" HDMI Monitor?

Q. I'm wanting my screen resolution to be 1920 x 1050 to be the recommended setting for my computer but when I change the screen resolution my start bar and icons are off the screen. I've gone in to the screen menu and tried to change the "Size and Position" but that doesn't help. So any idea's?

A. Standard HDMI or DVI resolution for that monitor is 1920x1080, not 1920x1050. Try that resolution and you might get all the image on the screen. If still a problem, you have "overscan" on the screen, try modifying with the video system settings. Since that video system is your secret, you are on your own. No good guess possible to tell you how.
If you are using VGA cable hookup, I don't know what resolution you should try. Look that up in the user guide of the monitor.

Connecting Xbox 360 to 24" LCD monitor?
Q. im getting a free 24" monitor with a computer im purchasing soon. I currently have a 22" lcd monitor that connects to my 360 using VGA cable from microsoft without any problems. i've heard that there could be some issues with 'stretching' when using HDMI cables for 24" monitors that dont have1:1 pixel mapping, since lcd monitors are 16:10. i plan on using the same VGA connection. is there going to be an issue with stretching since my monitor wont have pixel mapping? please advise.

A. I wouldn't recomend it but it is not likely your moniter will have a problem, but their is a small chance and if you decide to do so just be very careful and hope it doesn't ruin your monitor.

Just use a TV like everyone else.
