Q. Is there some sort of adapter that allows the PlayStation 3 to display on a lcd monitor which accepts either a VGA adapter or a DVI In cable?
Cause I presently have a Xbox 360 that is connected to it using the vga hd av adapter by Microsoft.
But I want my PS3 to connect to my lcd monitor if possible.

A. Your best bet is a DVI-to-HDMI cable (DVI end into your monitor, HDMI end into your PS3). That's because HDMI uses the same digital video signal as DVI.
You will need to figure out some other way to get sound from your PS3 though, since a DVI-to-HDMI cable strips out the digital audio carried by HDMI.

Q. I want to play my Playstation 3 on my 20 inch LCD acer monitor that doesn't have hdmi capability. How do i connect the yellow, white, red (AV wires) to my monitor when they only have DVI and VGA and audio ports?
A. You need to buy a cable that converts HDMI to DVI. So HDMI from the Playstation and DVI to the monitor. They cost about 10$ on newegg.com
