Do I have to worry about overheating with Voltage adator for using my LCD monitor in te USA?

Q. I'm planning on buying an LCD monitor in the UK that runs on the voltage here. I know need an adaptor to use it in the States, but so far I've only used adaptors for smaller devices like electric razors and cell phone chargers.

Since I'll be using the monitor for long periods of time should I be worried about my adaptor overheating or burning out? I don't actually have one right now but I'm planning to get one while in the States.

Or would I be better off just getting a new monitor over there and just buying some cheap, second-hand CRT to use now while I'm in the UK

A. look dont buy a lcd monitor because after 2 years the colour and the picture quality will be low so u have to change something i dont weather it is the screen or something buy a flat screen monitor it is the best. so when you get to usa by a new lcd or a flat screen monitor it is best for u because u will get a warrent of 2 years like that

its your choise

Q. I'm looking for an electronics store in Florida with a diverse amount of products. I'm having a friend from the UK making a quick stop in Florida. He wants to buy an LCD monitor that can be put on a car sunvisor (between 9"-10"). Does anyone in Florida know were he can stop by and pick one up?
