why does my pictures become darker when transferred from my camera to the computer?

Q. im using an Olympus DSLR. when transferring photos from my camera to the computer, the picture becomes darker. does this has something to do with the camera setting? this is also the problem of my professor who is using a Nikon DSLR. please help, thanks.

A. Four things:
* Your camera LCD only provides an indication of what the pictures will look like. It's useful to check your composition and to zoom in and check your focus, but not much else.
* If you're serious about photography and image editing, you should periodically calibrate your computer monitor (ColorVision has a popular range of tools http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?shs=spyder&ci=0&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=RootPage.jsp&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t )
* you should be using a quality monitor in the first place.
* If you mostly do your own printing, calibrate your printer too.

Why my picture is bright in the monitor of my dslr and when i transfer in the computer it becomes dark?
Q. When i shoot some picture using my d3200 in monitor the picture is bright or perfect and when i transfer it on my computer the picture becomes dark?

A. If you use a Auto-set..
The picture should be A-OK
If you're useing some manual set..the LCD Screen might need a adjustmnet--/
