What would be the best brand to buy a LCD flat screen?

Q. I looking for a lcd flat screen for my computer. I'm considering of the price and quality. What's the best in terms of price and quality? Where can i buy it? I'm from Philippines.

A. Filipino rin ako Bro kaya alam ko na naghahanap ka ng Mura pero may Quality diba?

I recomend a "View Sonic" good price for your money..
Good Specs like the Branded ones pero mas mura at maraming good reviews sa Monitor na ito...

2nd choice ko ito ng bumili ako ng Monitor...

Pero I get a "Samsung 940 BW" with 4 Ms response Time ..

Dahil trusted ko na ang Brand name na ito kahit medyo mahal mas nakaka sigurado kasi ako sa Parts and Service avalability ...

Pero wala ng made in Korea na mahahanap tulad ng dati na lahat galing pa ng Korea..

Is There A Difference Between Analog and Digital Monitors ?
Q. I bought a flat panel analog monitor along with a new computer from Dell. I thought I was only going to use the computer to surf the net and word processing, but I actually got interested in games. Dell also sells a flat panel "UtraSharp" Digital Monitor. I've read mixed opinions. Some say there is no difference between analog and digital. So should I cough up some money for a digital monitor to enhance my game play. Is it worth the money?? Is the "UtraSharp" name misleading?

A. Digital monitors are superior to equivalent Analog Monitors. The first reason being color reproduction. Digital monitors don't suffer from the white washout that analog monitors tend to have. They also reproduce the actual colors properly and to a great accuracy then analog. But for gaming your real concern is with the pixel refresh rate of the monitor you are looking at. While LCD's have gotten a lot better, if your refresh rate is to slow you will see ghosting on your screen.

Ghosting is really annoying when you are playing fast games with a lot of motion. I would say any monitor in general that has a refresh of 9ms to 15ms is probably fine for gaming. Though I would check game site reviews of the monitor. I would also say look at www.newegg.com for a good selection of LCD's at a good price.

UltraSharp doesn't have to mean anything, it just has to be a bit better then their standard monitor. Just find a monitor with a good resolution 19" monitor should have atleast 1280x1024 native support. Hope this helps.
