Q. I'm getting a bigger, better LCD monitor for my compy and I'd like to use the monitor I have to connect to my DVD player and Wii without a computer as the go between. It is not important that I be able to actually watch television as I have neither cable nor network reception.
Any suggestions?

A. Depends on the monitor. If it only has a VGA input you can't do much.
Some monitors do have composite or s-video input, so if that's the case, get one of those cables.

I am planning to buy an LCD monitor for a ps3 but i am wondering if it has the ports that a ps3 needs and if it is capable of running the games smoothly.

A. If it has HDMI or DVI (you will need a cheap adapter) then it will play PS3 games, to play blu-ray it will need to be HDCP compliant.
Most Monitors do not carry sound, so you will need to hook up to an amplifier via the Composite AV cable (ignore the video part of this).
