Q. I want to know whats is the best quality of lcd monitor so I could play my ps3 on it. I have a plasma tv that I bought in 2003 and I hear that old plasma tv doesn't go with a ps3 because it will break the tv. I want to use the monitor to surf the web,play ps3,watch movies and listen to musics. If possible send me a link.

Where can I find some square lcd monitors?

I cannot seem to find any square LCD monitors anywhere. I cannot stand widescreen, and am looking for two 20"+ square monitors. Does anyone know where to get them?

A. Dell stills makes a 19" square LCD, but it's rather expensive considering you can probably get a 23" widescreen with equal vertical height and better resolution for around the same price.

Basically, LCD panel manufacturers don't make "square" 4:3 or 5:4 panels anymore. They basically pushed widescreen upon the consumer, since they're cheaper to make since they have less area for the same diagonal measure. A 19" 16:9 widescreen LCD has somewhat less area than a 19" 5:4 "square" LCD, but since LCD size is measured by the diagonal, it still retains the same 19" measurement. Most consumers will pick up the widescreen since it's cheaper and they think that widescreen is a feature, when in reality it isn't and they're getting a smaller monitor.
