how will i connect an lcd monitor in my pc?

Q. im currently using a crt monitor which has a built-in vga male end. im planning to buy an lcd and i think the lcd monitor has a vga female-end. how would i plug it into my cpu which is a vga female-end also?

A. DVI is most likely not a connection you have if you had a CRT on that computer (it's a Dinosaur). Yes LCD's come with VGA cables and both sides are always female.

37" 1080p LCD TV - good as a PC monitor?
Q. Okay, I have got a 37" LCD 1080p TV, do you think that it would be good as a PC monitor?

Would I get a better picture than i would on a normal PC monitor or not?

A. Yes, your LCD HDTV will work just like a PC LCD monitor.

If your computer has a DVI port, you can hook it up to the LCD HDTV's HDMI port by using a DVI-to-HDMI cable. (Yes, DVI is compatible with HDMI).

DVI or HDMI is the best way because it's a digital signal. This is better than VGA, which is an analog signal.

Your 1080p LCD HDTV will display 1920x1080 resolution. The image quality will be pretty much the same as a smaller PC LCD monitor that can display 1920x1080, except the screen on your LCD is bigger of course. An added benefit of the LCD HDTV is that the text will be bigger and easier to read.

I'm using a 52" LCD HDTV myself. It's hooked up to my computer using a DVI-to-HDMI cable and it looks fabulous. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f347/armchairaviator/computer/IMG_0880c.jpg
