Cleaning spilled liquids form LCD monitors?

Q. Well last-night my dumb girlfriend opened a can of pop and it sprayed all over the LCD screen. I got most of the pop off of the screen but, I have to get some cleaner looks like to get the smudges off of the screen and the left over pop. What I wanted to know is, Will the pop that got on the screen mess up the screen or will it come right off when i get the LCD cleaner. Name of the pop is: Caffeine Free Twist Up Lemon Lime.

A. All LCD monitors have to be glazed with a thin protection film across the screen to confirm to a few laws regarding Health & Safety guidelines at home and in a workplace.

The best solution, as stupid as it sounds, is vinegar and water. Vinegar is an acid and has many properties in it that clean many surfaces and spillages and works wonders with glass and abrasive/non-abrasive surfaces.

Make sure you have white vinegar, other vinegars have different levels of acidity. And make sure you dillute the vinegar with water before use to ensure the acidity levels are stable enough for everyday cleaning use.

Try it out, see if it works!
Google is always there for confirming recommendations like this, so don't take my word for it.

How to use LCD Display Monitor as TV??? HD Comcast Cable Box HDMI and Home Entertainment System.?
Q. Hi everybody. I have a 37 inch LG LCD Monitor Model M3701C-BA. I am getting my comcast cable installed tomorrow and have been freaking out about how to hook it up. I know I can connect the HDMI to HDMI from the TV to the HD Box for the video. But what I am worried about is the audio. I bought a Dynex Home Theater System with DVD as the receiver for the 5.1 speakers. Can somebody please tell me how to set up the the home theater system to the cable box so that the monitor gets video from the HD Cable box and audio through the home theater system. Would I just set it up through another HDMI port from the DVD player to the Cable Box? Would the comcast guy help me set this up? Please help I really appreciate any help I can get! Thanks!

A. If you just hook up your home entertainment system to your tv directly, then you can play the audio of anything displayed on the tv (dvd-player, cable box, even if you have a xbox360 or something)

But when you do this, it's better to turn the tv volume down when using your home entertainement system, because if you keep the tv audio also on, you might hear what sounds like an eccho.. but this is just something you should figure out yourself, might not be a problem having the sound come out of your tv aswell as your home entertainement system
