Q. I am going to be buying a new lcd monitor for gaming, I am looking at 2 LG monitors, with the same specs, 2ms, 10,000:1 contrast, the thing is, 1 is glossy and 1 is matte. Which one is better for eye strain? I know glossy will have glare which can cause strain, but i wont have a glare problem. which is better? not worried about colors being better on glossy either, strictly eye strain, (i get it easily)

A. An LCD/TFT or CRT monitor are equally as easy as each other and so long as the refresh rate is high enough eye strain is not an issue
LCD or TFT monitors take up less space and also provide excellent display
CRT monitors are used where colour accuracy is paramount
So the use of the monitor depends on what you want to use it for, although for general use a TFT or LCD monitor will do what you want very well
