A. Before your decide to buy either a lcd monitor or plasma monitor, I prefer you choose the Samsung brand.
LCD monitors - energy saving - clearer picture - better buy for your money - more possibilities - what's yours?
Plasma Monitors - HUGE electric wasters - Burn out after a few years (means they stop working) - there some "brighter" - really expensive!
In my opinion, LCD monitors are much better..... trust me.

White vertical lines on an LCD monitor?
Q. Hi there-
Recently one of my monitors has started malfunctioning.
All dark colors are replaced with shimmering white vertical lines, making text unreadable and normal operation impossible.
The monitor is connected with a DVI connection. It still has the same problem when connected to other computers.
Should I bring it in for repair? Would this kind of malfunction even be fixable?

A. It may be fixable, but likely not worth the money unless it's a very large, very new monitor. It'll probably cost a couple hundred bucks unless it's still under warranty.
