We just installed Windows 7 onto our computer and everything on the screen is wide. How to fix?

Q. We have a normal acer wide screen lcd monitor and a gateway computer. The resolution is set on 1280 x 1024. Once we installed Windows 7, everything became wide on the screen. (Pictures and text are stretched and squished). How should I go about fixing this? What should I do to fix it/where should I go on the computer to fix this?
Thank You!!!

A. Delete Windows and install Linux (it's free, legal and simple to use, free download too)
OR
Get a mac, no problems with that, you get what you pay for, and stuff you DON'T pay for can be good too.

How do you modify the magnet effect of the windows 7 taskbar?
Q. I have been on the windows 7 beta for a while, and just recently I decided to start pinning programs to the taskbar.

However, I would like it if the pinned stuff went to the right instead of mixing with my already open stuff (I have a 24 inch Samsung LCD monitor 1920x1200 resolution). I hate having a huge untidy taskbar filled with random pinned stuff AND open programs.

Anyone know what can be done?

A. I don't think that's possible... What is wrong with that, anyway? I didn't find it confusing... I suggest you just separate the programs you use most often from the programs that you use less often.
