How do I get super glue off my LCD Monitor screen after it has sat for over 24 hours?

Q. The bottle squatted all over the place and I didn't see that it got on my desk top screen until we got home a few hours later. I tried using Nice & Clean wipes and I tried rubbing alcohol and neither thing worked. My husband is so mad at me. What can I do?

A. I would keep at it with the alcohol... I really can't think of anything else. Ace/ True Value hardware stores might have a glue remover. They sell all kinds of things like that to undo damage.

How am i supposed to clean a scanner?
Q. I have screen wipes that i use for my lcd monitor would that work?

A. screen wipes would work, but you should only need to do that rarely (every 4-6 months or so). Remember, the glass surface of a scanner is fairly protected since a flatbed scanner has a cover. If you're cautious about not touching it with your fingers, then it should remain relatively clean from oils, etc.

The bigger concern is dust. Dust will settle onto the glass surface even with the cover on it. And that dust will show up on your scanned images. A lot of scanner manufacturers recommend that you keep a micro-fiber cloth handy for an occassionally wipedown. Lightly wiping with those swiffer refill cloths picks up the dust as well.

good luck.
