I'm going to get a Sony PS3(Playstation 3) from US to India, how compatibility is with Indian Blu-ray Discs?
Q. I'm going to get a Sony PS3(PlayStation 3) from US to India, but am not aware of the compatibility with Indian Blu-rays discs and ps3 games and with the LCD/LED monitors that are available in Indian. Can anyone guide me regarding this? Thanks much in advance.

A. If you are using HDMI, you won't have any problems with any PS3 games.

If you are not using HDMI, you will have problems with a few older PS3 games. But most will still work.

HD is not region specific, which is why its not a problem if you are using HDMI.

Links for games in PAL regions working on the U.S. consoles.

Blu-Ray movies aren't as strict on region coding as DVDs. A lot are region free and will play anywhere, but some movies have region locks and won't play in players of other regions.

You should buy a power converter capable of at least 400 watts if you're buying a Slim model just because its not really confirmed whether or not the Slim has a universal PSU like most Fatboy PS3s do.
