Hp vs17 LCD Monitor?

Q. I have a HP vs17 lcd monitor and when i plug it up to the power outlet it's just dead. No green power light...nothing.
Im wondering if i could possibly fix it on my own and if i dont need to, another easy solution to my problem.
Btw i tried the F8 at bootup and other crap involving the vga cable etc.

A. If the power light does not light then you have a dead lcd, make sure all the power connectors are tight.

I have an HP w17e lcd monitor. How do i adjust the tilt on it?
Q.

A. Hiya Zach,

Adjusting your HP W-Series monitor by pulling or pushing from the bottom of the monitor can cause damage to the tilt mechanism and base.

The proper way to adjust the tilt angle for this particular LCD monitor is as follows:

1) Face the front of the monitor and with one hand hold the stand firmly, bracing it at the base so the monitor does not topple while changing the tilt.

2) Adjust the tilt angle with your other hand by moving the monitor's TOP edge toward or away from you until the desired position is reached.

Avoid breakage or other damage while handling the monitor and never touch the LCD screen while changing the tilt.

The HP W17-E has a 25 degree tilt range from -5 degrees to 20 degrees to provide an optimal viewing position.

This is genuine HP information also documented in the user manual for the W17-E LCD on the HP site:

GOOD LUCK!!
