How do I get rid of the rising line when I record videos with my camera?

Q. I'm trying to record some clips to make a music video of a game. I'm using a Canon powershot SX110 IS digital camera which has a video camera feature. When I record the T.V I get this rising line which looks to be scrambled every 2 seconds. Its one line. I want to know how do I get rid of it. When I record anything else its fine.

A. Maybe not the easiest way to solve this problem, but an LCD display would not have this effect, which as the previous poster pointed out is because of the way the screen is painted. This is an issue primarily on older-style CRT monitors. If your camera had a variable shutter (extremely unlikely, but worth mentioning) that would be an alternative solution.

Any Comments and Suggestions for a hypothetical invention?
Q. I am in a business class and had to come up with an invention... Now I need feedback. Please identify your age w/ either a) 65+ b) 35-60 c) 18-34 or d) 13-17. Also if you could give me your initial response on the product, give any recommendations, give a reasonable price for the product and let me know where you would expect to see this product it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The Product: Digital Wall Calendar (cross between digital picture frame and smart phone) Size: 24x18in=Standard size of desktop calendar. When not in use, it would display a picture or slideshow fo your choice like a digital photo frame. The frame would come in black, brown, silver, and white.

Features:
-Touch Screen
-Calendar, Clock, Weather display
-Wi-Fi, Sync w/ phones, social networking, email
-App availability
-Audio and computer hookup
-Photo display
-Smart Board technology: pen included (for those not familiar this would allow for a whiteboard setting that you can use for writing free-hand notes, etc on the screen.

Purpose/ Benefits:
-To use as an aide in group communication
-Allow families to communicate better (possibly businesses)
-Eliminates the need to buy a new paper calendar each year
-Decorative, as well as funcitonal

Again, thank you, and anything will help! (:

A. 24x18 is quite large == this puts it in the small LCD TV region rather than standard computer monitor / photo-frame ..

I assume it's going to be 2 -3" deep and will need wall brackets .. plus there's the question of how it's powered (I don't really like the idea having to run mains cables up / down walls so maybe have to drill holes into the cavity ??)

But my main objection is that my TV already does most of that (not the white board bit = but then I've seen adverts for some new Apple screen that has kids 'painting' on it ...) and why would I want yet another display (one that I have to stand up to use on the wall rather than one I sit down to use ???) ??

Still, if it was cheap enough ... say $200-$300 ...
