PS3 connect to dvi in or to a vga output on a lcd monitor?

Q. Is there some sort of adapter that allows the PlayStation 3 to display on a lcd monitor which accepts either a VGA adapter or a DVI In cable?

Cause I presently have a Xbox 360 that is connected to it using the vga hd av adapter by Microsoft.

But I want my PS3 to connect to my lcd monitor if possible.

Thanks for the help.

A. Your best bet is a DVI-to-HDMI cable (DVI end into your monitor, HDMI end into your PS3). That's because HDMI uses the same digital video signal as DVI.

You will need to figure out some other way to get sound from your PS3 though, since a DVI-to-HDMI cable strips out the digital audio carried by HDMI.

Hope this helps.

Does the PlayStation 3 Work on a PC LCD Monitor?
Q. I can't afford to buy a new LCD Flat TV, but I already have 20" LCD monitor. Can anyone tell me if they tried to make the Playstation 3 work on a monitor and how?

A. that depends on what type of connections the monitor has, it it's only an analog monitor with VGA connections, then you can't connect it directly to the PS3. If it's a digital monitor with DVi connections, then you can get a HDMI-to-DVi cable. you'll need to run your sound through something else though.
